Thank you for your interest in being a collection site for Fast Track.
Fast Track, a program of the United Way of Johnson County is a countywide school readiness program which provides backpacks, school supplies and other services to help low-income students be prepared on the first day of school.
Fast Track distribution events occur at all 6 Johnson County school corporations. In addition, at each distribution event, a variety of social service agencies, governmental agencies, and faith- based organizations set up a resource fair to provide valuable information to the families that will help them thrive. A volunteer committee led by a UWJC board member and comprised of representatives from local businesses, community volunteers, service clubs and the school districts collaborate to make Fast Track a success.
In 2023, we served over 1876 students in Johnson County, which is 28% increase over the year before. Students are eligible for the Fast Track program through their participation in the free and reduced lunch program.
Businesses who register to be a collection site for Fast Track will:

- Collect school supplies from July 1 - August 2.
- Have your basket, board, and school supplies picked up by a United Way of Johnson County volunteer the week of August 5th.
